The Road to Episode Infinity: Who is Agent Naare?

Agent Naare is an underrated Star Wars character featured in an underrated Star Wars TV show. Though Naare is not strictly canonical, she is one of the better female villains in the history of Star Wars. This force sensitive agent works directly for Emperor Palpatine. When Narre is undercover she seems harmless enough, but when she loses her temper and her face tattoos turn from white to red, her true demeanor is revealed.

Naare appeared in all 13 episodes of the first season of “Lego Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures”. Though many fans who have not seen this show may dismiss this series as unimportant, it is actually one of the more thrilling TV series that Lucasfilm has delivered.

In “The Freemaker Adventures” Naare is sent by Palpatine to retrieve the pieces of the ancient Kyber Saber. Supposedly this was the first lightsaber created in the galaxy and it is comprised purely of Kyber crystals. Naare takes a young force-sensitive orphan, named Rowan under her wing, though Rowan believes her to be a Jedi.

While the show is marketed towards a younger audience, “The Freemaker Adventures” is a high-stakes serial that is action packed and lots of fun. The show also makes good use of popular Star Wars characters such as Palpatine, Vader, Lando, Hera, Hondo, Han & Leia.

Though Naare appears only in the first season of “The Freemaker Adventures”, a new strong female character named Lieutenant Valeria is introduced in Season 2. Valeria is the leader of Blue Squadron during the years between “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi”. Valeria was adept at flying many types of Starfighters including U-Wings, Y-Wings, and A-Wings. Valeria runs a tight ship and is chock full of confidence with a side of attitude. She is voiced by Yvette Nicole Brown who played Shirley Bennett in "Community".

Though “The Freemaker Adventures” probably doesn’t have any direct impact on the mythology of Star Wars, it is still a fun show and quite watchable.
